Shawn, Hannah, Lin, and Brian were amazing! In town for our anniversary, the staff at Common Restaurant went out of their way to make our dining experience memorable. We tried the short rib plate and the short rib ravioli, both were cooked perfectly, good portions. I enjoyed some PEI oysters, clean, delicious! We were so impressed that we went back the next evening, (this time we made reservations). Again, the food and service was among the finest we have ever experienced. If I could, I would rate 10 stars. Unreasonable Hospitality, nailed it!
Oh WOW! This restaurant is not one to miss! We had the most memorable and delicious dinner at Common, now a must for our future trips to Savannah. From the service, to the drinks and food, we could not have enjoyed ourselves more. We started with the Mushroom Bruschetta, full of flavor and the perfect size for a starter. I knew before visiting that I was going to enjoy the Duck Confit Tacos and, YES, I sure did! The flavors were amazing and I had to save one to box and have for breakfast tomorrow...they were that delicious! My man had the Fried Chicken Caprese and just like my tacos, the flavors in the dish were so good! The black garlic pesto would be wonderful as a bread dip even. I can’t say enough about how wonderful the food is at Common! Our server was Justin and he helped to make our last night in Savannah perfect. Very personable, accommodating, and as friendly as one can be. We thank him greatly for the service and conversation. We are still talking about how wonderful the food is...classy, flavorful, without pretentiousness. A new favorite! Thank y’all!
Our first time here, we were not disappointed. Chosen for its proximity to the Lucas Theater during the Savannah Music Festival, we didn't know what to expect. But every detail was thoughtfully considered. From the in house made sourdough bread to the amazing desserts. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu! And for more of the banana bread pudding!
From the moment we stepped in (without reservations) we were greeted by the host and general manager. We got seated right away at the bar booth. Extremely polite and proud of their restaurant, the manager spoke to us about the menu and some special items we inquired about. The food was out of this world. It was full of flavor and exactly what we expected fine dining to provide. The mocktails were in another level, as well. Totally worth the money. The service was excellent and we have recommended this restaurant to a few people we randomly talked to later in the evening. We will be coming back and continue to recommend this restaurant.
Delicious brunch, ordered the chicken fried sandwich with fries. Fries were so delicious we ordered a second plate of fries poutine style with gravy. Very friendly staff. Salad was doused in a little too much sauce but maybe that’s the southern style
I’ve been to Common Restaurant a few times, but this Saturday was definitely the best visit yet. I started with a latte made with oat milk, and they added a cinnamon honey syrup that was both unique and delicious - something different and delicious. For brunch, I had the Banana Fosters French Toast, and he went with the Chicken & Waffles. Both were amazing, and even better, the leftovers heated up great the next day. The Chicken & Waffles had a savory gravy that I honestly prefer without syrup—it’s just perfect on its own. The French Toast came with a rich sauce that you don’t need much of, and the sticks were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside—just the way they should be. The vibe at Common is always great—relaxed without being too quiet or too noisy. This time, we sat at the end of the bar, which was a fun change. We had a great view and got to do a little people-watching while we ate. All in all, Common Restaurant continues to impress with both the food and the atmosphere. If you're in the area, definitely check it out!
We’re visiting from Florida, and on our second day in Savannah, we stumbled upon this hidden gem—and wow, what an incredible brunch experience! Erin, our server, was absolutely wonderful—attentive, friendly, and super helpful. The espresso martini? Hands down the BEST I’ve ever had! I had done a bit of research before our trip, and The Collins Quarter was recommended, but we decided to just explore and see what we’d find—and I’m so glad we did! This charming spot completely exceeded our expectations. We’re in love and already planning to come back for dinner. Highly recommend!
This place was my sister's one restaurant request when we traveled to Savannah for her bachelorette trip. She ate here a couple of years back and loved it so much that she insisted we all go again. And it did not disappoint! The staff is incredibly friendly and even gave the whole bachelorette party a free glass of free champagne to end the night with a toast. And the food was other worldly. We shared oysters and fried green tomatoes for apps. My sister had the gumbo and after trying a bite I could see why she wanted to come back so badly. I went with our waiter's recommendation and had the pasta fattoria. The pasta was made fresh in house. This dish was truly one of a kind! Next time I'm back in Savannah, I'm definitely coming back for that pasta dish!
